Welcome to issue #046 So about a month and half ago I became a student again, jumping head first into IT (networking, security, routing and cloud services) and holy f*ck this shit is hard. I'll be writing my my first exam in next 3-4 weeks, but I've made an oath to bring out these Slice issues. If I do send a day late, you know why! But I do have to admit, the feeling of being a student again and going to class everyday is really refreshing. On another note! I'm a big fan of BearBlog...like a really big f*cking fan and it makes me happy to see these tiny passion projects just absolutely crush it and thats exactly what the creator of BearBlog is doing. If you don't know what BearBlog is, it's privacy-first, no-nonsense, super-fast blogging platform with no trackers, no javascript, no stylesheets, just words and is all done by a one man show...who also happens to be a fellow South African. The creator, Herman, has now turned his side project into a community funded project that has an ethos of privacy first, zero ads and accessibility for everyone. That's definitely a project/cause I can get behind. If you're a fan of Bear, and you'd like to contribute to the project, you can support hereWith that being said, I'll be adding all The Slice subscribers to my personal mailing list on Bear in which I write a long form articles, once or twice a month, but don't worry you'll be able to opt out and any time. Now for this week issue ✌ |
Just a reminder that I have classifieds available for the coming weeks. If you're interested in advertising on The Slice, reach out to me.
